The engineer your project actually gets.
Whether you're engaging Mawussi Solutions for a build or evaluating me for a team, this page is the full picture — background, skills, outcomes, and CV.
When you hire an agency, you pitch to a partner and get a junior. When you hire Mawussi Solutions, you get me — the engineer who builds identity frameworks, multi-tenant security services, and cloud platforms at Microsoft, personally scoping, writing, and shipping your code.
For 6+ years across Microsoft Threat Protection, Unified Security Intelligence, and Cloud + AI Security, I've shipped OAuth and RBAC frameworks, event-driven pipelines handling millions of submissions a day, and security-researcher tooling that made whole teams measurably faster. Independently, I design and deploy complete products end to end: React and TypeScript, .NET and Go APIs, PostgreSQL, Auth0, real-time messaging, observability, CI/CD, and Azure or Cloudflare infrastructure.
Before Microsoft, I shipped full-stack features at Morgan Stanley and co-authored FPGA research published at ACM FPGA ’20. I hold Microsoft's AZ-305 Azure Solutions Architect Expert and AZ-104 Azure Administrator certifications, a 2026 graduate certificate in Cybersecurity from Johns Hopkins, and a CS degree with High Distinction — and I work fluently in English, French, and Ewe.

How I work
principlesSecurity by default
Threat modeling and least-privilege thinking from the first commit — so you never pay to rebuild after a security review.
Ship measurable wins
Every engagement is scoped around outcomes your business feels: latency, cost, reliability, revenue. Numbers, not vibes.
Direct & senior
You talk to the person doing the work — clear weekly communication, honest trade-offs, and no hand-offs, ever.
Background
cvSoftware Engineer II
- Own a critical pipeline moving detected malicious samples into quarantined analysis storage — 4M+ submissions/day — underpinning Exchange Online Protection's migration to a detonation-as-a-service platform projected to save $1–2M/month; single-click deployments, Secure Future Initiative compliance, and OpenTelemetry observability.
- Designed and shipped the data model, ingestion pipeline, APIs, and UI/UX behind a detection-effectiveness grading system for Defender for Office 365 — researcher grading efficiency up 4×.
- Built the platform's standard thread-safe OAuth 2.0 On-Behalf-Of library with configurable caching; leading the migration of spam-rule authoring to the web platform with secure cross-tenant connectivity — directly protecting millions of Exchange email customers.
- Led the platform's onboarding into a governed, compliance-certified Microsoft tenant aligned with Zero Trust; migrated two production codebases to .NET 8 and root-caused a longstanding crash behind recurring multi-region outages.
Software Engineer II
- Spearheaded, as dev owner, the productization of a remote browser-isolation tool for safely detonating and exploring malicious websites — auditing, logging, data-exfiltration guardrails, co-created threat model and data-flow diagram, and full compliance in a government-grade cloud environment.
- Designed a configurable malware-detonation-sandbox abstraction with RBAC-enforced per-customer data privacy, deployed across 3 Microsoft tenants, replacing a legacy portal.
- Built the ingestion pipeline for an email-campaign clustering and annotation feature; modernized the platform's access control by migrating entitlement management to a stronger identity-governance system.
Software Engineer I & II
- Cut sample-preview load time from 20s+ to <3s in the slowest geography and raised artifact availability from under 20% to ~75%; hunting-page loads from 30s+ to <4s, with samples available immediately at ingestion instead of an hour later.
- Redesigned the sample-ingestion pipeline with per-feed isolation — new-feed onboarding in minutes instead of a code change and redeployment — plus monitoring that catches most outages before customers notice.
- Designed and implemented the portal's RBAC authorization framework with access-request audit logging; hardened secret management with Key Vault and Azure AD across 4 services.
Undergraduate Research Assistant
- Prototyped a real VR headset on an FPGA board in a team of 3 under Professor Yuhao Zhu, targeting lower computation time and power draw — work published at ACM FPGA '20: rendering energy cut 55% vs. a mobile GPU with no perceptible quality loss.
Summer Technology Analyst (Full-Stack)
- Shipped two data-visualization features saving administrators about 120 hours/year; unit and integration tests with JUnit and Cucumber.
Teaching Assistant — Data Structures & Algorithms, Computer Organization
- Ran lab sessions twice a week; co-built 3 autograders used to grade labs and projects for 135+ students.
